Thai Iced Tea

Thai tea is a full-bodied, sweet, creamy and fragrant iced tea.

Thai tea is brewed from black tea leaves and spices then sweetened with milk. This gorgeous, flavorful drink is the perfect sweet treat for a warm day. The main ingredients of this recipe are Thai tea mix, half and half and sugar to create a rich and creamy drink. I personally love to drink Thai tea with any kind of spicy dish but it can be enjoyed with everything. Thai tea is immensely popular and versatile. You can find Thai tea frozen smoothies, ice pops, and my personal favorite, with honey boba pearls. Bright orange in color - Thai tea mix is generally has added orange food dye to get that iconic look. This recipe utilizes Thai tea mix which already contains the necessary tea leaves, spices and food coloring. Many recipes use condensed milk and evaporated milk. There are also variations using sweetened coconut milk as a dairy free option. However, I prefer to use half and half as the source of dairy because of the consistency and convenience of having it on hand at all times.
